Playing Fields & Garden Services is a family run company specialising in ground maintenance, landscaping and providing of Lantra awards trading specialising in qualifications and training for people in the land-based and environmental sector. Established in 1980 we have been based in Antrim for the past 30 years, this geographical location enables the company operate province wide. Playing Fields & Garden Services has teams dedicated to grounds maintenance; some of our services include grass cutting, hedge trimming, weed control, ground preparation, gritting and snow clearance, design plant and maintain to total site tidy ups. Playing Fields & Garden Services have a reputation for successfully fulfilling clients demands may it be in commercial and/ or private grounds maintenance. We offer individuals in all aspects of landscaping who are highly trained in accordance to industry standards e.g. National Proficiency Test Certificates, Construction Industry Training Board and St. Johns Ambulance. Playing Fields & Garden Services actively liaises with clients to achieve a level of service, which goes beyond reasonable standards; this is achieved by regular reports, meetings, inspections and the collation of feedback from all members of the team. Our company have at our dispense all necessary equipment to deal with any situation, be it big or small, ranging from pedestrian mowers/ ride on mowers to gritters and snow ploughs. Health and safety The company is currently a Safe-T-Cert accredited. Safe-T-Cert is a third party accredited health and safety scheme developed jointly by the Construction Employers Federation in Belfast and the Construction Industry Federation in Dublin. It was developed from the 18001/2 documentation but enhanced specifically for the construction industry. It is based on ‘best practice’ requirements for international and national bodies, including ILO guidelines. Safe-T-Cert is recognised under the ‘Build safe’ initiative in Northern Ireland and the ‘Construction Safety Partnership’ in the Republic of Ireland. Environmental systems The Company is currently registering and working towards obtain the IS0 1400 Environmental accreditation.
