Criteria
The main criteria is that the capital investment must lead to increased sustainability of the business and also have wider social/environmental/welfare benefits, i.e. improving the rural economy, providing employment, assisting suppliers (particularly of local food)although not the direct production etc.
Diversifying and adding value are the key elements for farmers.

No capital expenditure linked to primary production.
