Different Ways of Using Skills Manager

Able Project Rotherham - Vocational Training

Developed by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, the ABLE project works with vulnerable pupils and those unable to attend mainstream school to help them into employment or further education.

Skills Manager is being used to record the hands on training from soft skills such as time management and team work to more technical skills within horticulture and fisheries management.

Galloway Forest Volunteer Project - Work-based Training

Galloway Forest Is a volunteering project for young people outside of education, employment or training, designed to develop life skills and experience within woodland and environmental management.

Skills Manager is being used to assess progress, record achievements and to showcase the skills of the volunteers, to act as a pathway to employment or education.

Leicester City Council - Skills Assessment Tool

Leicester City Council's, Park and Green spaces department is using Skills Manager as a training needs analysis tool. They record current skills and qualifications of their staff, thereby identifying skills gaps and implementing development plans to improve workforce planning.

Poultry Meat Training Initiative - Industry Wide Schemes

The official training skills management programme for the UK poultry sector. It uses Lantra's Skills Manager system to record skills, qualifications and identifies training needs.  

NATUR - Continued Professional Development

Natur is a membership scheme for individuals working in countryside and conservation management in Wales.

Skills Manager is being used to record the memberships continued professional development and competencies, which are necessary to manage the Welsh environment.
