This 31 week full-time course provides the first step on the ladder of professional qualifications within the industry and incorporates the British Horse Owners Certificate. You will spend a lot of time covering the practical skills required to work safely and competently with horses, providing the base for you to progress to a higher level qualification. The main topics covered include: • Feeding and Watering • Elementary Riding • Horse Health • Saddlery and Clothing • Nutrition • Safe Horse Handling • Anatomy and Physiology • Lungeing This course will fully prepare you for the BHS Horse Care and Riding Stage 1 and 2 examinations.
