This is a work-based training programme, offering you practical training in sport fisheries management operations. Although no previous experience is required to complete the SVQ, you do need to be employed on a fishery. To be eligible for a Scottish Enterprise contract to subsidise your training, you need to be under 20 years of age. The course covers a wide range of subjects including: • Fish Capture and Population Surveying • Habitat Assessment and Maintenance • Freshwater Ecology • Sport Fish Species • Management and Control of Anglers
