Clear guidance on sources and access to funding

We have been listening. You said it was complicated and time-consuming to find funding and support for you and your business. We have created a special tool that does some of the hard work for you and points you in the right direction.

The introduction of the European Directive 86/609/EEC from 2013 to 2017 will no doubt have an impact on the training and skills needed in animal technology. It will change the way training is recognised, as well as demanding investment in facilities and equipment.

As the experts in the field, we want you to tell us how these changes should be reflected in your standards and qualifications, so they  detail the skills you need. Email us your thoughts.

Management  and supervisory skills

Animal technologists need to develop more management and supervisory skills to progress up their career ladder. This area can be challenging for large organisations where groups of staff work in isolated teams.

Security awareness skills

An up-to-date awareness of security needs and requirements is vital for this industry, both for staff and the technology used.
