Farmers are working with their vets to improve the efficiency of their dairy enterprise with LandSkills East Midlands Dairy Improvement Programme.
Mr Easom, Broom House Farm, Derby. (Vet – Marshall and Till, Belper)
“Through the East Midlands Dairy Improvement Programme I have been able to receive some really useful advice to help with parlour improvements and to get ready for my grant application for an Anaerobic digester. I’m also working with my vet on a number of animal welfare projects. It’s good to be able to receive funding support to help us move forward.”
Vet John Cammack from Glenthorne Vets
“A couple of my clients are already registered on the programme and are finding it useful to be able to access great advice and to build on herd health plans with me – all for a reduced rate. The project should make a really positive difference to farmers in my area.”
