09/02/2012 - The Wildlife Trust is recruiting now for a new Environmental Conservation programme

A career in Environmental Conservation can be really rewarding. But it can sometimes be a bit of a struggle to know how to get into the industry.

The Wildlife Trusts in Derbyshire and Yorkshire are helping wannabe conservationists by  recruiting for an exciting new conservation training programme.

The programme consists of full time placements including three days per week based at Potteric Carr, Doncaster or Shipley Park, Heanor, Derbyshire and one day per week at Sheffield Wildlife Trust. One day per week placement with local conservation organizations providing additional training and work experience

The programme also includes Environmental Diploma (level 1,2 or 3) plus first aid and brushcutter training.
The placements are available to candidates who will be aged 16-19 on 1st April 2012. There are also bursaries available to help fund this training. For more information visit the website.
