07/02/2012 - Apprenticeships are fast becoming the best way to get ahead or take your first step in your career.

So it’s great news that from April 2012, a £1500 incentive to take on a new apprentice will be available to small employers (under 50 staff).

The National Apprenticeship Service is going to provide these grants to up to 40,000 small or medium sized employers.

The incentive will be abailable from April which will encourage small firms that don’t currently employ apprentices to take on a young apprentice aged 16 to 24.
