01/08/2011 - The Food and Farming Entrepeneurs Network (FFEN) in Yorkshire is inviting farmers and growers to become one of the eighteen members of this pilot group.

Yorkshire is already a powerhouse of UK food production with huge acreages of fertility and with international processing companies linked to an exceptional transport network throughout Europe, but it also has large areas of pastoral land which has under utilised food and energy potential.

FFEN will give future leaders in farming a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge of the problems, to become aware of some of the solutions and to offer a chance to follow these through to the benefit of their businesses.

The group is looking for 12 food producers with six representatives from food output and service input industries. They will have ongoing access to expert professional and practical mentors.

Our LandSkills Yorkshire and Humber project is supporting the network.
