11/05/2011 - Transition arrangements from Blueprint to a Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for Wales (SASW) compliant frameworks have now been put in place.
The Welsh Assembly Government will allow a short period of dual running up until the 1 August 2011.
This transition means that you will be able to continue to start apprentices on the current (Blueprint) programmes until the 31 July 2011, but from the 1 August 2011 all new apprentices must be recruited to the new SASW frameworks.
DCELLS funding policy team will be working to set funding rates for new SASW frameworks from 1 August using the new Activity Costing Model. DCELLS will be using the survey documents included with the Indicative Pricing Documents to gather the key activity dimensions which will be used to model activity costs and set the funding rates. The revised funding rates for SASW compliant (from 1 August) will be published as soon as possible. DCELLS are also preparing a list of all new SASW compliant frameworks and will be publishing a list of valid framework codes via LLWR in the next few weeks.
