Lisa Williams from Capthorne Farm, Laugharne, Carmarthen, was named as the Land Management and Production Lifelong Learner of the Year winner in Lantra’s 2011 Land-based Learner of the Year Awards, for her dedication to training within the Agriculture industry.
“I was attracted to farming because of the pride and challenges that dairying gives. It is a truly satisfying career where a lot can be achieved. Dairy farming offers a good standard of living and great security.”
Kevin Thomas, Lantra National Director Wales, said: “Wales’ agriculture industry benefits greatly from dedicated individuals like Lisa and her commitment to skills and training. I would like to congratulate Lisa and all of this years’ nominees for the outstanding work they do.”
Lisa said: “My future plans are to become a farm manager of a dairy farm, gaining as much knowledge as experience in the industry and eventually go into education and teach young people about dairy farming.”
