A Modern Apprenticeship is a package of learning that mixes on and off-the-job learning to make sure apprentices get the skills and knowledge they need. Modern Apprenticeships involve a partnership between the apprentice, employer and training provider.
Modern Apprenticeships can receive public funding and are available to learners of all ages. Most are available at two different levels and depending upon the industry and the level, it will take between 1 – 3 years to complete.

We are currently waiting for the SVQ in Auqaulture (Levels 2 and 3) to be accredited by Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). Once this has been done we will be able to submit the Modern Apprenticeship for approval. We expect that we will be able to do this early next year. We will continue to keep you updated on our progress here.
