Our Level 3 Award in Volunteer Management aims to provide you with the knowledge required to be able to effectively analyse requirements and plan the volunteers work. The qualification will also help you to gain other areas of expertise by looking at: An introduction to matched resources to planned activity, record keeping and negotiation with colleagues and stakeholders. Effective communication skills to help manage a team of volunteers. A structured approach towards maintaining records and monitoring outcomes. Skills for evaluating volunteer work and giving feedback to encourage reflection and individual development. An understanding of the importance of effective communication in supporting volunteers. The knowledge required to undertake a SMART analysis.

Our Level 3 Award in Volunteer Management has been designed primarily for you if your work involves the management, supervision or leadership of volunteers. It could be that this is part of a broader role that you have or it may be on a part time basis, it could be in either a paid or voluntary capacity. Our qualification has been designed to be applicable, flexible and accessible to any organization within any sector.

Description: 

The Level 3 Award in Volunteer Management is primarily designed for those whose work involves the management, supervision or leadership of volunteers. This may be part of a broader role and may be on a part-time basis; it may be in either a paid or voluntary capacity. Learners may come from a wide variety of organisations and the Qualification is designed to be applicable, flexible and accessible to any organisation within any sector.

Product objectives: 

The Qualification is comprised of six Mandatory units that have been identified as suitable and relevant to the range of skills required for learners within a voluntary environment. The units available can be used to create individual learning programmes tailored to the learners’ needs whilst enabling those learners to achieve or work towards achieving a national qualification and improve their opportunities. The Level 3 Award is awarded upon the achievement of six credits (42 Guided Learning Hours). All six credits must come from the Mandatory units:

  • Plan Volunteer Work
  • Organise Volunteers and Resources
  • Communicate Effectively to Brief Volunteers
  • Monitor Volunteer Work
  • Give Feedback to Volunteers
  • Support Volunteers to Solve Problems
