Leadership and Management Development

Landskills EM will consider support for up to 70% for farmers and growers who can outline the case for Leadership/Higher Level Personal development/coaching. The applicant will have to identify the benefits to their own business, but also how they would promote higher level learning to others in the EM region. In effect a condition of the grant will be that they become Ambassadors who will inspire others, especially new entrants, to develop themselves and their businesses.

Legislative training

LandSkills East Midlands aims to fund training that is part of a structured development programme designed to build on core skills and equip a trainee with the range of transferable skills needed to develop their business.  It will not fund training that is intended to deliver the skills needed to meet the legal and regulatory requirements necessary to carry out basic work. Training that goes beyond basic requirements and allows a trainee to progress through their personal or business development plan will be considered but the cost of test/exams required to demonstrate that a legal obligation has been met will not be supported.
