We manage LandSkills East Midlands, which is part of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE). RDPE 2007-13 is jointly funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and defra and has a budget of £3.9 billion. £3.3 billion of this budget will help farmers to manage the land more sustainably and deliver important outcomes on biodiversity, landscape and access, water quality and climate change. £600 million will help make agriculture and forestry more competitive and sustainable and enhance opportunity in rural areas. Visit the defra website for more information.
Q. Does LandSkills fund legislative training? A. No as we can’t fund legislative or regulatory training that’s required to carry out basic work.
However we will consider funding you if you need training that goes beyond this basic requirement and allows you to progress through personal or business development, but we can’t pay for tests or exams.
Q. Can I get help towards the cost of leadership and management development? A. We will consider supporting you if you can identify the benefits this training will have on your business.
Q. How can I get LandSkills updates? A. Register to receive email updates or follow us on Twitter.
