Skills Coach case studies

Kerry Hall - The Rural Enterprise Gateway

When it comes to training people working in rural businesses, skills coach Kerry Hall officially sits on the ‘other side’ - as an organiser and encourager. But in fact training others also helps enormously in expanding her knowledge and skills at the same time.

Kerry has been working through the Rural Enterprise Gateway and Reaseheath College at Nantwich on Lantra’s Women and Work initiative.

Suzie Barnes - Cornwall FWAG

The Women and Work project has helped Cornwall’s Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group fund courses for one of its farm conservation officers, Suzie Barnes.

This training has increased her knowledge, contacts and confidence which will ultimately support her work with farmers across the county, and in particular women working in farming to extend and improve their own skills.
