EquineSkillsCV - giving grooms the recognition they deserve

The first of its kind, the EquineSkillsCV was developed by Lantra and the British Grooms Association to give grooms a clear path of progression - something there hadn’t been until now.

Working as a groom is a challenging, busy and rewarding occupation. A good groom is highly talented at their job and they need to be – looking after horses requires dedication, attention to detail and an awful lot of hard work. The EquineSkillsCV is a record of achievement that helps grooms recognise their skills and hands on practical experience.

It establishes four different levels of achievement (Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced and Elite) which has huge benefits for not only grooms but for the businesses who employ them too.  This is because it helps employers identify exactly what skills they already have or what level of groom their business needs, and so can recruit appropriately.

The value to businesses is clearly demonstrated by the fact that since its launch the EquineSkillsCV has had requests from across the globe having sold to Germany, America and Australia as well as throughout the UK.
