Welcome to the Farm Business Adviser Accreditation Scheme for Scotland (FBAASS).

FBAASS is the quality assurance scheme for those working in the Scottish Government’s Whole Farm Review Scheme delivering whole farm business advice.  Through this website you have access to a wide range of information relating to the Farm Business Adviser Accreditation Scheme for Scotland.  Farmers and crofters can use the online database to locate a suitable accredited adviser, and potential advisers can find out more about becoming accredited.

What does being an accredited adviser mean?

Only those advisers who are quality assured and receive accreditation are able to deliver grant-aided whole farm business advice under the Whole Farm Review Scheme.

 Why should I become accredited?

  • Accredited advisers have access to new work opportunities across Scotland through the Whole Farm Review Scheme (WFRS) .

  • Advisers benefit from external technical assessment and soft skills monitoring which highlights areas of development and boosts the skills of advisers.

  • Advisers have access to CPD events and receive regular news e-bulletins from Lantra providing updates on key developments.

  • As an accredited adviser, your details are available to prospective clients on the telephone and through the searchable online database which means your accreditation can also be used as a free marketing tool
