What is Lantra Awards?

• Lantra Awards is one of a number of recognised awarding bodies offering regulated vocational training and qualifications in our sector.  Find out more about Lantra Awards.

Can you find me a job or work placement?

• No, we do not provide this service. 

Can you give me a list of employers in my area?

• You can use our business directory to view a list of companies - search by industry, location and area of work. Or visit Jobs to find out what positions are currently vacant.

Can you give me a list of qualified individuals that I can recruit?

• We don’t have a list of qualified individuals, but you can post vacancies in Jobs.

Can you tell me about a specific career? I would like personal advice with a career adviser.

I run a careers library.  Can you send me information about your industries?

• We don’t post printed career packs but you can download and print all our career fact sheets.

I want to be a volunteer. Can you find me a placement?

• Sorry, unfortunately we do not find volunteer placements.

I need to take courses that are approved by Lantra. Can you tell me where you run them?

• You will need to contact Lantra Awards or use our course finding services.

What training do you think I need?

• It is different for each industry.  Our Careers section suggests what skills are needed for different roles and our Skills Manager tool has been designed to identify exactly where you need to develop. 

What is an apprenticeship and how does it work?

• Read all about apprenticeships in England, Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland. 

Can Lantra find me an apprenticeship placement?

• No, we don't find placements for individuals or find potential apprentices for businesses.

Is there funding available to do a course I am interested in?

• We do not offer funding directly, but you can find out what support is available on Fund Finder.

I have used Fund Finder and there are no options for me.   I need you to find me other funding options.

• All of the funding we manage or are aware of is on Fund Finder. Unfortunately we are not able to help individuals seek other sources of funding.

Can Lantra sponsor me to gain a qualification?

• No sorry. Lantra does not sponsor people to gain qualifications.

Can Lantra offer spokespeople/speakers?

• Yes, we can sometimes provide speakers, depending upon the event and if we have someone available. Send us an email or call our media office on 02476 858411 with the event details and we will see if we can help.

Can I be signed up to receive press releases?

Does Lantra have a magazine?

• We do. We publish Connect Magazine three times a year to keep you up-to-date with news.  Read the latest issue of Connect Magazine.
