Qualifications approval pilot

Lantra is participating in a qualifications approval pilot between March and July 2008 which will change the way qualifications are approved.

Apprenticeship frameworks review

Lantra needs your help to carry out a UK review of apprenticeship frameworks to ensure they continue to meet the needs of employers and apprentices.

Workbooks

If you have candidates working towards an National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) or Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Horse Care or Racehorse Care at Level 2 or 3, or Animal Care at Level 2 or 3 workbooks are available that can help them to achieve the relevant evidence for their NVQ/SVQ portfolio.

The workbooks have been written for asessors and candidates involved in working towards the NVQ or SVQ, and outline the skills and knowledge required for a candidate to achieve their desired qualification.

The workbooks are available from Lantra at £15 per copy (including posting and packaging).  To order workbooks, please telephone Lantra Connect tel: 0845 707 8007 or email connect@lantra.co.uk

Qualification development and support process

When submitting proposals to QCA for accreditation of vocational qualifications, awarding bodies are required to get the support of the relevant Sector Skills Council or Standard Setting Body.  Lantra has developed a qualification development and support process to assist with this.
