Developing the Next Generation of Business Leaders
This project helps Scotland’s family-run farms to prepare younger generations for taking over the reins when the older generation retires, ensuring a healthy future.
It offers funding for one year to support ‘succession planning’ on farms in Scotland. This includes a land-based business review and a training and development plan.
This is an opportunity for family-run farms in Scotland to get professional business planning advice and mentoring to ensure sustainability and profitability.

Developing Business Competencies
This project supports the development of the pig and dairy industries in Scotland.
It identifies skills needed by pig and dairy farmers and their workforce. This information identifies the skills gaps of existing and new employees, and identifies training needs.
Employees can take ownership of their own training needs and can work with employers to develop their skills. This project is part funded by ESF Objective 3.

Experience Counts
This project encourages the over 50s to undertake learning and development, giving them new skills and the opportunity to become workplace mentors.
It has been particularly well received in the Highlands area with beneficiaries from the trees and timber, aquaculture and horticulture industries. So far over 40 people have benefitted.
