IEPUK and Lantra launched IntSCA at the Grow Abroad conference in Australia.
Lantra has worked with IEPUK Ltd to modify Lantra’s Online Competence Framework (OCF) to provide a solution that delivers and hosts the the International Skills Competence Award (IntSCA) online programme. The IntSCA version of the OCF is a powerful tool to record the skills and achievements developed during international exchange programmes, many of which are developed through practical experience, as well as formal training and qualifications.
The OCF has been used since 2006 and has already facilitated 150 exchange students, from countries such as Ukraine, Australia, India, USA and Switzerland. Lantra has recently supported the worldwide launch of the IntSCA programme at the “Grow Abroad” conference held in Australia in October, 2007. The conference was attended by 51 delegates from around the world.
Other benefits from attending the conference included the opportunity to establish, for the first time, wine growing job roles. These will be hosted on the OCF and will enable UK wine growers to have a standards based skills recording and development tool for the first time.
