Job Consulter

Lantra has developed a new online tool, Job Consulter, to make sure that information regarding jobs in the environmental and land-based sector is valid and up-to-date.

Lantra produces sector approved job profiles which itemise the knowledge and skills required by individuals working within Lantra’s 17 industries. To ensure they are truly representative of "real" jobs in industry, these are sent out for employers to comment on and approve. To speed up this process and encourage broader participation, Lantra has developed Job Consulter – a new online tool based on Online Competence Framework (OCF) technology.

The innovative system hosts over 400 job profiles and provides quick and easy access, enabling everyone working in the sector to take part in the consultation process. This has huge benefits to both Lantra and industry, as it will help to ensure that the job profiles fully reflect the jobs in industry. It will also dramatically speed up the process of consultation, allowing the profiles to be released for industry use far quicker.
