Trimedia, one of the UK’s leading full-service public relations and communications consultancies, has been appointed by Lantra to help it communicate the importance of skills and training to businesses operating across the environmental and land-based sector.
The appointment follows a competitive pitch involving three other agencies and will see Trimedia reach out to the sector’s 230,000 businesses and one million workers to raise their awareness of the benefits, such as improved productivity and improved staff retention, that training and skills development can bring.
Commenting on Trimedia’s appointment, senior consultant Stuart Humphreys said: “This brief allowed us to demonstrate our expertise in delivering skills and environmental messages, and the roadshow element leverages our ability to organise events and translate them into quality national and regional media exposure.”
Trimedia begins work with immediate effect and promises a major spring initiative that will communicate the importance of ensuring people working in the environmental and land-based sector have the right skills to carry out their jobs effectively but also to highlight the importance of the sector to the UK.
Mark Chambers, head of marketing for Lantra, commented: “Trimedia demonstrated a wealth of expertise in delivering similar projects during the pitch process and came in with some fresh thinking and a ‘can-do’ attitude that convinced us they would work well as an extension of our existing in-house PR team.”
