Apprenticeship Week in England

 Lantra was pleased to host a number of events in support of the 2009 Apprenticeship Week in England 23 – 27 February 2009.

Employers in environmental and land-based industries were invited to come along to:

• Find out what apprenticeships are and how they work

• Discover the benefits to businesses

• Hear from employers who are already taking advantage of  the programme

Feedback from the events has been extremely positive as:

• 95% of attendees felt that the event had helped them understand how apprenticeships work and how they can benefit businesses

• 90% felt the event had presented them with new business information, ideas and opportunities
• 63%, of those who didn’t currently employ apprentices, felt that the event had encouraged them to take on apprentice
