Course Prerequisites:

As from 1st April 2020 Learners must either be registered with Lantra Awards as a NHSS12AB Temporary Traffic Management Operative or as a minimum they must have passed the one day NHSS12A / B Operative course. The registration as an NHSS12B LTMO will only become effective provided the NHSS12AB General Operative logbook of assessments has been completed AND the one day NHSS12AB General Operative course certificate is still valid.

• Sector scheme documents and reference documentation

• TSM Chapter 8• Design, planning and calculations for TTM closures

• Installing and removing TTM closures

• Temporary speed limits

• Hard shoulder closures

• Total closures

• Accidents and incidents

Who should attend?
All persons who will be required by their employer to work on motorways and or high speed dual carriageways as a lead traffic management operative, on standard works schemes where temporary road markings ARE NOT required, and all works with relaxations.
What will be covered?

On completion of this course you will:

On completion of this course the successful learners should;

• Understand the typical roles and responsibilities of the LTMO

• Be aware of the Ch8 requirements for where relaxation can be applied and be able to plan relaxation closures

• Be aware of industry safe working practices

• Have scored a pass mark of 75% or above on the end of course test.

Other areas of interest?
The registration as an NHSS12B LTMO will only become effective provided the appropriate NHSS12AB General Operative logbook of assessments has been completed AND the one day NHSS12AB General Operative course certificate is still valid.
