The Animal Medicines Best Practice (AMBP) training programme has been developed in partnership with the food supply chain to provide training that reflects current best practice in the use of antibiotics in farm animals.
The course contains theoretical and practical information about antibiotic use and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
Topics focused on include farm antibiotic management, responsibilities and best practice in responsible antibiotic use.
Three modules must be completed. This must include two core modules, plus a module covering responsible and effective use of antibiotics in sheep.
Upon successful completion, a Lantra certificate of training will be available to download and print.

This course is designed to train people in the responsible use of antibiotics in sheep.
This can include farmers, farm workers, and vets.
There are two mandatory core modules that cover the safe and responsible use of antibiotics in sheep in depth.
Plus, there’s an additional module focusing on the responsible and effective use of antibiotics in commercial sheep flock.
You must undertake all three modules to successfully complete the course.
