HSENI has launched the annual ‘Avoid Harm on the Farm’ child safety poster competition, encouraging children to recognise the dangers on farms and to illustrate a farm safety message.

We are inviting Primary School pupils (Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2) and pupils from Special Schools in NI to take the opportunity to enter our poster competition.

To take part we would like each child to draw or paint a poster based on one of the dangers encountered on a farm.

The closing date for the competition is 30 June 2021 and children can enter a drawing on any topic related to farm safety. HSENI will be issuing a social media post each week to remind children to get their entries in.

We will select 12 winners from the entries received up to the closing date and Prizes for each of the 12 winners will be a £30 One4all gift card.

In previous years HSENI has produced a calendar made up of the winning entries to the competition and the calendar has been distributed to over 42,000 rural homes throughout Northern Ireland, HSENI hopes if possible to produce a calendar for 2022 from the winning entries to this year’s competition.

We hope that you will support this worthwhile competition and help to promote entries from the children who attend your school and also by sharing our notification out with parents to encourage children to take part. We look forward to receiving some wonderful art work highlighting the very important child safety on farms messages.
