The Environment Agency launch new Water Environment Worker trailblazer apprenticeship

The Environment Agency, in partnership with the National Trust, the Canal and River Trust and Somerset Drainage Board (with support from Lantra) has launched the brand new Water Environment Worker trailblazer apprenticeship at an event on Monday 3 February.

The main overview of the18 month apprenticeship is maintaining, repairing and carrying out minor works on a variety of water environment assets.

As part of the apprenticeship, individuals are required to undertake off-job training which will be delivered by Bridgewater and Taunton College, with Lantra providing the End Point Assessment (EPA).

Successful completion of the EPA will enable apprentices to apply for membership of Chartered Institute of Water and Environment Management (CIWEM).
