The National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs has announced the winners of this year's YFC Achiever Awards, which celebrates the dedication, commitment and drive of the nation's rural workers.

The awards shows took place between 13-17 September online, with NFYFC President Nigel Owens MBE hosting the events which featured comments from the host of judges.

The awards featured eight categories, including the Farm Safety Award, which shone a light on the amazing work individuals have carried out the past year, supporting the nation throughout an unprecedented period. Everyone at Lantra would like to wish a huge congratulations to all individuals involved in the awards.

The award winners are as follows:

 

Farm Safety Category:

Winner: Maria Warne, St Mabyn YFC, Cornwall

Runner-up: Weald of Kent YFC

 

New Member of the Year Category:

Winner: Henry, Roche YFC, Cornwall

Runner-up: Lleucu-Haf, Penparc YFC, Ceredigion
 

Community Spirit Award Finalists Category:

Winner: Pontfaen YFC

Runner-up: Southern District of Cumbria YFC (10 clubs)

 

Community Supporter of the Year Category:

Winner: Joe Holmes, Worth Valley YFC, Yorkshire  

Runner-up: Alastair Morgan, Wentwood YFC, Gwent


Entrepreneur of the Year Category:

Winner: Vicky Smith, St Albans YFC, Hertfordshire 

Runner-up: Luke Watts, Martletwy YFC, Pembrokeshire  
 

YFC Supporter of the Year Category:

Winner: David Hunt, Woburn YFC, Bedfordshire 

Runner-up: Samantha Edworthy, Cruwys Morchard YFC, Devon

 
Aspiring Rural Leader Category:

Winner: Mick Handley, County Chair, Lancashire FYFC 

Runner-up: Club Chair Samantha Gates, Brockenhurst YFC, Hampshire

 

Heart of YFC Category:

Winner: Hazel Stansfield, Clitheroe YFC, Lancashire
