SRUC's Skills Training Service offers a wide range of training and skills development courses to meet the needs of the land-based workforce across Scotland and the rest of the UK. With Campuses located in Aberdeen, Ayr, Borxburn, Cupar, Dumfries and Edinburgh following the merger of Barony, Elmwood and Oatridge Colleges with SAC we have a national spread able to support our dispersed population.

Our training courses are usually campus based, utilising a range of specialist facilities within each campus, but can also be delivered in the workplace or on suitable customer premises.Courses available through SRUC Training include driver skills training, pesticide application, livestock management, chainsaw operation, arboriculture, ground care, health and safety and first aid.We support a broad customer base, from those currently employed in the landbased sector who would like to develop their skill set, to those looking for a career change and who would like to pursue the career opportunities that the land-based industry hasto offer.Whether you are self employed, looking to develop your service, or an employer looking to enhance your workforce, we can assist you with this process.Training can be tailored to your individual requirements to enhance the skills of your workforce and further develop your business.Our customers also include local authorities and government departments, Non-Government Organisation's and professional bodies and organisations.
