Who should attend?

All persons who will be required by their employer to work on motorways and or high speed dual carriageways as mobile lane closure Supervisor (Block vehicle driver).

What will be covered?

On completion of this course learners will:

  • Be able to identify equipment and signage when implementing Mobile Lane Closures
  • Be aware of reference documentation relevant to Mobile Lane Closures
  • Be able to perform pre-works checks on Block Vehicles
  • Be able to conduct briefings and prepare all necessary closure record sheets
  • Be able to supervise MLC operatives conducting pre-works checks on MLC signs
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of MLC supervisors

Other areas of interest

Following completion of the level 5 & 6 supervisor training course the learner can obtain full supervisor status (TM card) by completing a set of on and off site assessments as prescribed the the sector scheme document.  The assessments must be completed with a two year period starting from the date of passing the training.
