Since the launch of the new and improved Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme on 21st January 2025, the Bridge Inspector community has embraced the enhancements with enthusiasm. The proposal for this scheme was initiated by the Bridge Owners Forum and the UK Bridges Board, who recognised the need for a common standard across the sector. Their vision was to create a unified approach that guarantees consistency, competence, and quality in bridge inspections nationwide.
