Recognising Excellence in Farm Safety Initiatives

 

The Horticulture and Landscaping Apprenticeship Trailblazer Group (HALTG) are conducting a survey to evaluate how our apprenticeships are working and to inform our future activities. This includes streamlining the documents that determine how the end point assessments (tests) work in line with current government policy. The survey will also be shared with our partner awarding organisations to assist them in their work.

 

By participating in this survey, you will help ensure our existing apprenticeships meet the needs of Employers, Learners, and Training Providers. You will also influence the future of apprenticeships in our industries. 

 

 

 

 

The Importance of Apprenticeships in Horticulture

 

 

Jo-Anne, Head of Apprenticeships and Standards at Lantra, said:

 

“Apprenticeships are a great pathway for those starting their career in the industry, and for those who are looking to progress. Being able to develop skills whilst on the job is a benefit to the apprentice, as well as having the chance to work alongside trusted employers, helping to shape the future of the industry.” 

 

 

 

Adam Blunt, Senior Technical Training Consultant at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Trailblazer Chair, added:

 

“Completing the Horticulture and Landscaping Apprenticeship Survey is a crucial step in shaping the future. Your insights will directly inform how we evolve and improve apprenticeships to better serve Employers, Training Providers, Apprentices, and stakeholders across the sector.” 

 

 

The HALTG is a partnership of over 50 employers, trade associations, and educators. Together, we develop, refine, promote, and support horticulture and landscaping apprenticeships.

 

The surveys will close on 24th November.
