This training is for all those engaged in conducting vegetation management work in proximity to overhead powerlines.

What will be covered?

By the end of this training you will have covered:

  • Identifying trees and their characteristics in relation to overhead power lines
  • Tree health and biosecurity
  • Inspection, maintenance and use of insulated rods
  • Rope-assisted felling in proximity to overhead power lines
  • Working from rope and harness in proximity to overhead power lines
  • Working from a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) in proximity to overhead power lines.
