National HIghways, Transport Scotland, Welsh Assembly and Transport NI on their motorways and high speed dual carriageways road networks

Who should attend?

All persons who will be required by their employer to work on motorways and or high speed dual carriageways as a Lead Traffic Management Operative, on standard works schemes where temporary road markings ARE NOT required, and all works with relaxations.

What will be covered?

On completion of this course the successful learners should;

• Understand the typical roles and responsibilities of the LTMO

• Be aware of the Ch8 requirements for where relaxation can be applied and be able to plan relaxation closures

• Be aware of industry safe working practices

• Have scored a pass mark of 75% or above on the end of course test.

Other areas of interest

To gain the full LTMO supervisor skill, learners must be registered with Lantra Awards as a NHSS12AB General Operative/Non Driver skilled worker category (where both the 12A/B logbook and 12A/B Operative course have been completed and registered accordingly).

To gain a LTMO certificate as proof of training only there are no pre-requisites.  The certificate is valid for two years.
