Who should attend?
All persons that need to become a Moving Works Operative (MWO) for NHSS12D mobile operations and short duration works.What will be covered?
On completion of this training course learners should be able to demonstrate a knowledge of:
- Health and Safety at work and how risk assessments and method statements impact on work duties
- Relevant codes of practice and other associated documentation when involved in temporary traffic management
- The equipment required in Temporary Traffic Management, and legal obligations when placing equipment on the highway
- The requirements for Mobile and Short duration works
Other areas of interest
12D Mobile Works Operatives (MWOs) can only be involved in mobile and short duration works on NHSS12D type roads (single carriageway urban and rural roads and low speed dual carriageways).
If other temporary traffic control types (give & take, priority, stop/go, temporary traffic signals) are required on NHSS12D roads, 12D M1/M2 Registered Traffic Management Operative (RTMO) qualification will be required.
