This course is designed for corporate drivers who drive as part of their working role to increase awareness as well as observation and anticipation to deal with a variety of on road  hazards. We will also focus on vehicle sympathy which in turn reduces operating costs and maintenance / repair costs and increases fuel consumption.

Who should attend?

Any driver who drives a vehicle on road for their role.

We deliver in a variety of vehicles from cars, vans and commercial vehicles including LGV / PCV.
 

What will be covered?

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain and demonstrate a basic understanding of Highway code, and the benefits of improved observation and anticipation.
  • Explain and demonstrate Pre-drive checks using the acronym P.O.W.D.E.R.Y
  • Explain and demonstrate cockpit drill and set up to drive.
  • Explain and demonstrate improved observation and anticipation in a variety of road conditions.
  • Explain and demonstrate improved method and a methodical planned approach to negotiating hazards.
  • Explain and demonstrate a basic understanding of driving to gain increased fuel economy and reduced maintenance.
