The term self-escorting applies to either a haulier or a private company engaged by a haulier escorting an abnormal load or an abnormal vehicle.
The finer details
Self-escorting offers greater flexibility for scheduling moves and therefore should enable loads to travel at off peak times when there is less traffic. This will both reduce traffic disruption to other road users and improve journey times for the haulier.Delivery method
