Candidates will receive training in how to respond to a wildfire scenario, how to plan for wildfire, the importance of teamwork and how to implement Safe Systems of Work in a wildfire scenario, whilst working in large and smaller teams.
They will also learn the importance of equipment checks and how to effectively tackle wildfire with the equipment that they have (how best to deploy). No actual firefighting will take place and no fires will be lit. Simulated scenarios will test candidates and effective teamwork.

All landowners, land managers and any persons that may be involved in a wildfire scenario.

What will be covered?

The purpose of this course is to train candidates (land managers, owners, employees etc.) how to deal and prepare for a wildfire scenario. The course is primarily focused on Health & Safety, Planning and Preparation and the Practical Skills required that will allow the candidates to use appropriate equipment and techniques to safely put out wildfires.
