This Lantra accredited Operator Training programme has been designed to give novice operators the basic practical skills and associated knowledge required to safely operate the machine and a short induction into its attachments. It also gives the operator awareness of potential risks and hazards associated with operating the vehicles and attachments in a working environment.

The finer details

The attendees of this programme will be trained & given the opportunity to gain a small amount of experience in the following areas:

  • The applications of the Multihog vehicle under normal working conditions, covering simple tasks of all the equipment operations
  • Experiencing and knowledge of all the equipment manoeuvrability
  • Instruction as to the daily care of the vehicle
  • Becoming familiar with the correct loading & unloading of the attachments onto the Multihog Vehicle
  • Gaining a small amount of experience into the best usage of the Multihog vehicle
  • Gaining experience for the best practices of the patch planer
  • How to safely and correctly carry out a pre use check for both the machine and the patch planer
  • Learn how to keep up the maintenance of both the Multihog and the patch planer

What will be covered?

By the end of the duration of the course, the learners will have the knowledge and guidance on how to safely operate the Multihog machine and also safely use the patch planer attachment within a live environment.The will also have an understanding of the Multihog vehicle and it’s controls, understand the principles of safe Multihog operations, understand their responsibilities as a Multihog operator, knowledge of how to correctly carry out a re-use check to ensure your vehicle is in a safe condition to operate and knowledge of safe operation.
