The Oxford Farming Conference (OFC) has always been, and always will be a force for good in the farming industry and community. It brings together people from all corners of the agricultural, rural and food sectors, encourages a hugely diverse range of thinking, and generates ideas and positive solutions for the future.
Lantra will be launching our new research report at the Oxford Farming Conference (OFC) 2024. The findings explain why the use of apprenticeships in agriculture is low, providing a deeper understanding of the barriers that deter farm businesses from taking on an apprentice.
This session will cover research which has been undertaken by Lantra to understand the barriers to farm businesses hiring apprentices. It will include recommendations for farm businesses, industry and policymakers, with the aim of apprenticeships being a key pillar in a new entrants strategy for the industry. To be held in Room 7.
