A study by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) reveals that 82% of managers in the UK lack formal management or leadership training, often referred to as "accidental managers." This program, equivalent to a Level 4 award, is designed to equip learners with the essential skills needed to embark on their management journey.

‘Elevate’ is a management training course designed to equip newly appointed managers or deputies, with the skills and knowledge they need to effectively lead and manage teams. Typically, these courses will cover management styles, communication, conflict resolution, project management and appraisals.

What will be covered?

The course will consist of TEN modules. A set of FOUR ‘core’ modules which are essential for the role of manager. The ‘balance’ of SIX modules, which can be chosen from the list provided, whilst could be considered essential, are designed to enhance the student’s ‘soft’ skills (more people skills), needed to develop their personal leadership styles and promote reflection and knowledge required for their future personal development.

 

Mode of delivery

  • Face-to -face classroom experience for four CORE modules (2 day session-four ½ day modules).
  • Online video teams’ presentation (2 hours) for each for the six additional modules.
  • Relevant industry articles, videos and written material supporting each module.
