This is an awareness level course that introduces candidates to the principles of risk assessing waterside working, working safely in waterside margins and how to undertake basic bank-based rescues should the need occur.

The finer details

The day will be predominantly classroom based, with practical sessions on bank-based rescues. There is an optional swimming pool based practical demonstrating life jacket deployment and safe swimming.
