Hydraulic systems are widely used across industries, but they carry significant risks including hose failure, fluid injection injuries, burns, and uncontrolled release of stored energy. This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to recognise these hazards, carry out safe inspections, and follow correct operating procedures.

Through theory learning, participants will gain an understanding of hydraulic hose construction, failure modes, and inspection techniques, along with safe handling, storage, and isolation procedures. The training also covers relevant Northern Ireland legislation (HASAWA, COSHH, PUWER, PESR) to ensure compliance and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to confidently identify risks, apply preventative measures, and respond effectively to hydraulic incidents, helping to reduce downtime, prevent injuries, and improve workplace safety standards.
