Who should attend?
Anyone who operates a blower, particularly in public area settings.
What will be covered?
By the end of the course, the learner will be able to:
- Identify & minimise H&S risks
- Carry out daily checks & maintenance of the machine
- Blow/vacuum a test area safely
- Assess the suitability of the machine for the site
- Have regard to sloping sites & environmental conditions
- Adopt clear & appropriate communication e.g. signing & guarding
- Have regard to the risks/issues when working close to highways, footpaths & exposed sites
- Be aware of the risks/issues involved with lone working
- Have regard for environmental considerations & H&S e.g. noise levels, risk of contamination, catchment areas, air pollution & dusts.
